Lynda Lehmann has an incredible sense of color, shape and their interaction!  Lynda defines herself as a mostly Abstract  Expressionist artist.  Lynda paints in acrylics and watercolors and also creates her lovely abstract art digitally.  Furthermore, she is an accomplished photographer.

I have become quite taken with Lynda’s abstract, geometric digital (I think) paintings!!  There is a real sense of both depth and movement in this piece. I feel that I am in space with planets whizzing by – or is that within a being, with the cells floating by?  Lynda calls this Superficial Blue but personally I find it quite deep!

Lynda calls this New Code.  It does like like the inside of a digital motherboard (or some other electronic thing). But this has a lot more sense of space and depth than any electric board I have ever seen.  Or is this the actual code that is being written and we see it as it is dynamically created?

Lynda has a series she is calling Soul Sanctuary.  Once I started looking deeply at them, I was totally amazed and inspired! There is level after level as one goes inward in this image.  To me I see the outside and the back as the world … and then layer after layer comes forward in vibrant yet subdued colors.  Right in the middle I can see and feel the Soul Sanctuary!!  Lynda’s work is truly brilliant!

  1. Hi Diane,

I love your descriptions of my art! Thank you so much for taking the time to think about what you see in my images. I think you came up with some interesting commentary, seeing them in ways that I myself had not articulated.

I know how busy you are and I appreciate your friendship and the work you did. Thank you again for featuring me on your blog!
