Winter Challenge
Occasionally some friends put out a challenge for folks to make a representation of their idea. It is Heather’s turn to choose the challenge this week. This week is the Tangled Thursday – Winter how ever you want it. So Heather says “Thanks to Marie for challenging us with the theme of Winter. How ever we wanted to approach it, as long as it conveyed winter.” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) expressing Winter.
Don’t ask me why I would choose black paper to represent Winter which tends to be white – at least around here. Though Winter *does* tend to be dark – too dark in my opinion … so maybe this is the white of snow against a dark Winter :) It does sort of look like a landscape when I look with “soft eyes” :) 🙂
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. I am able to be more in the flow again – whew! So above is my Winter Zentangle Tangle ZIA. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected – super big different direction!!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!
Which Tangle is Which?
Piano is the 5 rows of Piano keys up in the upper left – to me it looks like the sky.   Then to the right of Piano, from the middle left to the top right is Coaster – the row of mountains in the distance. The bottom left is Florz – the snow covered field. Then the 3 Trio on the bottom and middle right are the children playing around. So see … it IS Winter after all :) There you have it!! 🙂
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! ~ Diane Clancy
