New to Me New to Me V, Artist Focus Heidi Sue Whitney, Cayke for Joey Challenges
SuzyMosh Creations puts out a challenge for folks to make a representation of “That’s New to Me!” This week is the SuzyMosh Creations – New to Me V. Suzy says “I will post each Sunday a randomly selected letter that your new pattern has to start with. If you feel adventurous, use more than one new pattern that starts with that letter. … Remember that these need to be patterns you’ve never drawn before. You may use any other patterns that you wish in your drawing. You must use at least one New to Me pattern starting with the letter V. V is a repeat, so we have an an Artist Focus this week on Heidi Sue Whitney! You must use one of Heidi Sue Whitney’s tangles in your drawing.”
Each week Joey puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the joey’s weekly tangle challenge #98. So here is what Joey says this week, “Well the calendar may say that we are now starting the month of February, but I feel like I’m still somewhere back at the beginning of the New Year. Time speeds up every year, I’m sure of it! Now that we have finished our collection of musical tangles where to go from here? Do we launch into something new and daring or stick with the basics and keep life simple? I think this time I’m voting for simple! So your challenge for this Monday morning is to use the tangle Cayke You can use it with other tangles in a String, in a zendala, ZIA, etc. It’s entirely up to you. And if you are lucky enough to have a piece of cake nearby and want to nibble on that for “inspiration”, I certainly won’t stop you!”
So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using New to Me V, Artist Focus Heidi Sue Whitney and Cayke for Joey.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. I have been noticing it and wanting to try it – so this is the time!! 🙂 🙂 I put my name with a © more prominently to protect my work. So above is my New to Me V, Artist Focus Heidi Sue Whitney and Cayke for Joey Tangle ZIA. The tangle New to Me V is Victoriasaws Flowers. Barbara Finwall designed Concert. 🙂 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! I need to work on staying in the flow with everything going on. 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks!! That means a lot to me!!
Which Tangle is Which?
Victoriasaws Flowers is the flowers at the bottom .. and also both the top right and left corners. Cayke is the banners underneath the flowers on the top right and left corners.  Concert is the 2 sets of pipes, more or less in the center. Concert is wildly creative and flexible – I want to use it again and play more.  🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
