Cari Sultanik Organic Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. Over the summer the Diva has guest bloggers to spend more time with her family. This week is the Weekly Challenge #228: “Cari Sultanik Organic”. So here is what Cari Sultanik says this week ” The dog days of summer are long and hot here on the east coast of the U.S., but there is so much to celebrate this time of year. Beautiful big shade trees, swimming pools and beachside fun, summer flowers, and (for the kids in most areas), no drudgery to take away from blissful hours of outside carefree fun. My kids are lucky enough to go to summer camp–one as a lifeguard, the other in his last year as a camper–and I am delighted that they can have an experience they can carry with them for a lifetime.
Of course, in other parts of the world (looking at you, Australia) it’s winter, some of us work in air-conditioned (thank goodness!) offices with little access to nature’s bounty, and some of us flat out hate the heat and humidity.
Whether you’re outdoors-obsessed or indoors-indignant, you can enjoy THIS challenge which celebrates all things natural and organic. I’ve always been drawn to tangles that imitate nature, even though Zentangle is, of course, meant to be non-representational. I simply like the curved lines, the impression that tangles that “grow” make that bring tiles or ZIA pieces to life, and the colors that can be brought into the artwork that evoke feelings of joy and wonder. ” So this is a little Organic ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art)
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. I put my name with a © more prominently since some folks’ zentangles are getting stolen and printed on posters and such. The roofer has almost finished and he is fabulous!! The wheelchair ramp is done and it looks great!! Running into some other issues. Please wish me luck staying in the flow!!! 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
The Morning Glories is all the blue, purple, green and yellow flowers in the bottom half of this tile. They are so happy waving and playing together!!  Izland Flower is the blue and purple flowers dancing across the top 🙂 :) There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! NOW with all the repair work to come, there will be more dumping!! LOL!!) But even my studio got damaged 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy
