A-B-C Challenge

Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #114: Tangle with A-B-C. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #114, the Alphabet challenge of, A, B & C. Use tangles starting with the letters A, B & C in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your A, B & C.” Thus this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with the letters A, B & C.

Zentangle Enticed Me

So above is my Challenge ZIA.  I am excited that Carolien and I now realize we can make the thumbnails bigger!!  We are hoping others will join us again now that we are back on track!! So of course – this went in a very different direction than expected!!!

Do you like the one in colored pencil?  So do you like the line version?  I am upset how shaky I am at the moment!!!  🙂 I like the line version a lot but I am loving the color too since it is done!!  Then it is being hard for me to add color to some of these I have created since I like the lines so much. Then I get worried I will mess up the color 🙂 So do you have a preference?   🙂  🙂 🙂

Which Tangle is Which?

Cranwich (Paisley) is the big flower on the bottom right.C-Yeah! is the tall flower on the left.Bud-head 1 is the 2 short flowers in the bottom middle. Amybaby is the 2 striped flowers in the middle left. B’Dylan is the 2 yellows flowers near the top middle. Astra is the blue flowers, one in the top right and the other near the bottom left 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

My NEW Studio NEWS and Thank You!

More things had been getting dumped into my studio. So I have mostly been derailed by my health, family issues and everything else.  🙂  BUT last week Susan and I started to pull things out that don’t belong there … and cleaning and organizing. So I can see why some people looking at the studio thought it wasn’t that bad. After taking out stuff that doesn’t belong there, it really doesn’t look that bad!! Which Tangle is Which?

C-Yeah! is the tall plant on the left. Draz Day is the short plant on the bottom right. Bud-head is the plants in the middle with spirals as their flowers. Bud-head 1 is the smooth edge and Bud-head 2 is the plants with the little manes on the right sides. Cat-kin is the little pussy willows at the bottom. Bleeding Heart is the heart shaped plant on top of stems (like the Cat-kin). B’Dylan is the fairly tall plant in the middle with a head like a dandelion or perhaps a mane of hair.  There is also a small B;Dylan in the middle at the bottom. 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last several years and so I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it.  So above is my Challenge ZIA. Do you like it? You can see I added more “underbrush” in this little garden after I scanned the line version.   🙂 I am glad Carolien and I are getting back to the Challenges. I have been very sick *again* these last 3 1/2 months. But I got the medication I need – at last – so this last week I have started feeling better.  A set back with worst flu I ever had last week. But I have great hope I am back on track!!  There is still one piece of repair work to be done – from the intense winter 2 years ago!! 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!!!

Which Tangle is Which?

Loops ‘n Leaves is the vine dancing across the top.  Bluebonnets are the 2 plants to the far right.  B’Dylan is the 2 upside down mops or hair brushes. Sekips is the 2 plants that have balls as blossoms. Springkle is the mushrooms playing at the bottom. 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Twizted Challenge

Occasionally some friends put out a challenge for folks to make a representation of their idea. It is Elaine’s turn to choose. This week is the Tangled Thursday – Time to try Twizted. Heather says “Our challenge is to use the tangle Twizted . That’s it, give it a try and use it somehow.  Thanks Elaine, I haven’t tried this one. To me it looks like braided hair. This tangle looks like one where it will make a difference whether I do it large scale or tiny scale. … Have fun playing with Twizted , create a post, them come back and link up with Mister Linky.” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using Twizted.

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel – although there will be some real repair work in the house from this winter 🙂 So above is my Twizted Zentangle Tangle ZIA. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected. I had real problems with this tangle!!  I would have liked to have the steps much more broken down!!!  🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!

Which Tangle is Which?

Twizted is the big feather in the middle left.  I added the tip of the feather and the shaft at the bottom of the Twizted to create a feather :)  Vigne is the flower that goes through the feather – from the middle bottom to the middle top.  I wish I hadn’t made it quite so vertical :)  🙂  Loops ‘n Leaves is the vine across the top.  Chimidle is the umbrellas and pearls that start on the middle left and dance across the bottom and up to the top right, meandering all the way!  B’Dylan is the dandelions in the bottom left and near the bottom right.  Floral Net is the netting on the outside of  Chimidle in the right, bottom and a little on the left.  There you have it!! 🙂

Fanz Challenge

Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #212: “UMT: Fanz by Susan Goetter”. So here is what the Diva says this week “the first Monday of every month is a Use My Tangle Challenge, where the challenge of the week is to use a tangle created by one of you! … This months submission is from Susan Goetter, called “Fanz” you can see the step outs here. I really enjoyed this tangle, it really relies on the concept of aura-ing.  When creating the auras be mindful of the distance between the line you drew and the line you’re drawing.” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using Fanz.

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and am putting my attention to it. Spring is coming  🙂 I am feeling there is light at the end of the tunnel!!  Being exact, this was not an easy challenge for me with Fanz, but then I got to make a garden  🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!! I had not been in a position to return comments as I would wish 🙂 Thank you!! I think I am caught up now 🙂

Which Tangle is Which?

The fountain is made out of Fanz – those little fans in rows 🙂 Wist is the 3 sets of leaves hanging over the left side of the fountain. Leef Chainz is the leaves hanging over the right side of the fountain.  Loops ‘n Leaves is the 2 vines coming up out of the middle of the fountain, one heading left and the other heading right.  Chimidle is the umbrellas starting at the bottom left corner, meandering across the bottom and then up to the right top corner.  B’Dylan is the dandelions in the middle left and in the bottom middle, near the bottom right corner. Zinger is the mushrooms dancing around the bottom half of this tile.  Flos is the double sided leaves, with one leaf at the top and dots emerging from between the leaves.  Flos is in the bottom middle and the bottom right corner.  There you have it!! 🙂

SuzyMosh Creations puts out a challenge for folks to make a representation of “That’s New to Me!” This week is the SuzyMosh Creations – New to Me Q. Suzy says “I will post each Sunday a randomly selected letter that your new pattern has to start with. If you feel adventurous, use more than one new pattern that starts with that letter. … Remember that these need to be patterns you’ve never drawn before. You may use any other patterns that you wish in your drawing. You must use at least one New to Me pattern starting with the letter Q.” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using New to Me Q - Quilled Snowflake and Quoval.

These tangles New to Me Q are Quilled Snowflake and Quoval. 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!

Which Tangle is Which?

Quilled Snowflake is the 2 snowflakes in the left middle and top middle. Quoval is the 2 other big flowers sort of in the middle left – they have 4 big petals.  Yomaho is the hearts on the stems for both Quilled Snowflake and Quoval.  Leef Chainz starts in the bottom middle and winds its way up on the right – the nested leaves and berries.   Loops ‘n Leaves is the vine that starts in the top right (off of Leef Chainz) and dances across the top and half way down on the left.  B’Dylan is the 2 dandelions near the bottom left and middle.  Zinger is the mushrooms planing around the bottom middle and left.  Flos is the sets of 3 leaves and a top leaf with lovely dots coming out from between the leaves on the bottom left and middle. There you have it!! 🙂

Dust Bunny Challenge

Each week Joey puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the joey’s weekly tangle challenge #54. So here is what Joey says this week “With Easter coming up I’m wondering how many of you have begun the annual ritual of “Spring Cleaning“? I’ve started a few jobs . . . but what can I say, I’d rather be drawing!
So this week I’m challenging you to tangle with a dust bunny (in one form or another!) Just one guideline to keep it simple.” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using Dust Bunny!!

So it looks like Spring may be coming soon here :)  :)  So above is my Dust Bunny Zentangle Tangle ZIAs. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!

Which Tangle is Which?

The Dust Bunny is the two big pink spirals with dust all around the edge too … the center of this tangle.  The Dust Bunny is in the upper left corner and near the right middle. Then the rest of flowers, leaves and nature …. not sure if they are the cause of the dust or the antidote :)  The Vigne is the orange and pink spiky flowers on the bottom with fan type leaves.  The Half Flowers is the green leaves dancing vertically in the left half plus in a couple of other places such as the right and left middles.  The B’Dylan is the dandelion looking flowers – at least one comes out from each side.  There are 3 B’Dylan hanging down from the top.  Zinger is all the rest – the little mushrooms popping up everywhere :)  There you have it!! 🙂

Still being very rough with issues around snow and ice – lot of leaks and the car and some other issues. There is a lot of repair work that has piled up with all of this!! But I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. So above is my New to Me B Zentangle Tangle ZIA. These tangles New to Me B are B’Dylan, Buudea, Bam-Boo, Borbs and Budlite. 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! Very different this time!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!

Which Tangle is Which?

Bam-Boo is the bamboo at the left of the tile and the little bamboo in the bottom right.  B’Dylan is the 3 dandelions in seed in the middle and bottom middle of the tile.   Buddea is the sprawling plants with the little round buds near the bottom right and peeking around the left Bam-Boo.  Borbs is the banner at the top right with the little blossoms nestled next to each other.   Maybe it would have been good if I hadn’t given it quite as strong a border.  Budlite is the banner of little buds starting at the top left and flowing down to the middle right.  Those are all the ones new to me.  Then Flos is the little sets of paired leaves with dots across the bottom.  Zinger is the odd mushrooms with a twist at the top that dance all over. There you have it!! 🙂
