Now we are at D-E-F. When Carolien and I first started these challenges, we started going through the alphabet in sets of 3. So I am sharing here what my entry to the first D, E & F looked like. Hope you enjoy! So do you prefer the original D, E & F or the current one? 🙂

D-E-F Challenge
Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #89: Tangle with D-E-F. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #89, the Alphabet challenge of D, E & F. Use tangles starting with the letters D, E & F in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your D, E & F.” Thus this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with the letters D, E & F.
Zentangle Enticed Me
So above is my Challenge ZIA. Do you like it? It has been a ride! Sorry to have missed a week but a lot of loose ends needed dealign with after being sick for 4 months!! But I have great hope I am back on track!! There is still one piece of repair work to be done – from the intense winter 2 years ago!! The skylights were fixed!! Yay!! 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!!! It was my first time using Florina (the plant on the right) and I think I would be more happy with the result next time I try it 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
Draz Day is the plant on the left, with big flowers that curve gracefully. Oh isn’t that funny!! Draz Day is in the same position from my first D-E-F entry!! Oh my goodness – the coloration is even the same!! It is rare (I think) that is is all pink and red! Interesting!! 🙂 Though there is more orange and purple in #1. Oh no!! I just noticed something else ~ I didn’t even see the Embrose in #1 until a minute ago. Very funny all around!!
Embrose is the vine in that starts in the upper right and flows across. Florina is the plant on the right with a big flower arcing to the right. Flux is the leaves at the bottom of both plants. Fescu is the grass that is springing from the bottom. Zinger is the mushrooms, both at the bottom and sprouting off Florina. 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
