Y-V-L Challenge: Yomaho, Vine Thanks, Loops ‘n Leaves

Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #78: Tangle with Y-V-L. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #78, the Alphabet challenge of Y-V-L. Use tangles starting with the letters Y, V & L in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your Y, V & L.”  Thus this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with the letters Y, V & L.

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last several years and so I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it.  So above is my Challenge ZIA. 🙂 🙂   So what do you think? Do you like it?  I was planning to color it but it seemed to me that this time was one where color would detract.  What do you think? This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!!!

Which Tangle is Which?

Loops ‘n Leaves is the vine across the top and the vine that is growing like a plant on the far right side.  Vine Thanks is the flowers which have bell-like blossoms.  There are 3 of them in the bottom, mostly middle.  Yomaho is the hearts on the bottom of the 2 larger Vine Thanks.  Yomaho is also the 2 plants of hearts that are growing on the bottom left and middle. 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
