Diva’s Spill It Challenge
Diva Spill It!! Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #282: “Spill It”. Â And here is what the Diva says this week “A little while ago my bestie gifted me with two big delicious beets, fresh from her garden. I love beets, so i was thrilled to have them.
That night, as i was washing and peeling and chopping the beets for dinner, i was awestruck, as i often am, of the vibrant magenta colour and i thought: I wonder what would happen if i spilled these peels onto a zentangle tile? … This week’s challenge is to spill something onto your tile and then tangle it. It doesn’t have to be beets, lol.”  Thus this is a little Spill It ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art).
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and I have put my attention to it.  Since I have been very sick the last 4 months, that is why I disappeared.  So it has been rough and hopefully I can move on and be healthy!!!  Plus thank you for your understanding if I didn’t return visits to our “Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.”  Therefore I had to keep doing to keep the challenge going.  In addition I hope all of you are well and have enjoyed your – either summer or winter!!
Well as so often happens this didn’t go as expected!!!  While Susan was nearby, I asked Susan to spill some of her drink on the paper.  BUT coke didn’t leave a very dark stain and I really didn’t want to go looking for another stain so I did with it.  Thus then it meant I needed to have 2 computer versions … one cranked up so you could see the stain and the other bright so you could see all the “non-stain”.  Thus what do you think????  Not my best work but the Diva says go with the first try 🙂 🙂 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
Oolong is the vine growing up the right – that is my favorite of Spill It.  Then going to the middle stain that starts in the bottom middle, 133 goes along the right of that whole stain.  Thus Olivio is the vine on the left side of the stain.  The Spill It stain in the upper middle is surrounded by Thing in the Middle of a Thing.  This stain is surrounded by a solid line.  In addition the stain on the left, starting to the bottom, is also surrounded by a solid line.  Crystal is the stars hanging on strings inside that stain. Then Chime is the wind chimes hanging from 133. Upholstered is the net to the left the left stain. Thus Floral Net  is the net to the right of the left stain. That is all of my Spill It entry 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂

Very interesting and fun tile, Diane. It seemed funny to me how many things just didn’t want to stain tiles, but if I spilled on my clothes, it would certainly be deep, rich, and would never come out!
I’m having a giggle at Jean’s comment. Someone mentioned they thought their paper had been bleached, maybe that is it. A fun result.
I think this is a real fun tile!!!
Very fun and lively.
