Q-O-K Challenge
Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #67: Tangle with Q-O-K. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #67, the Alphabet challenge of Q-O-K. Use tangles starting with the letters Q, O & K in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your Q, O & K.”  Thus this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with the letters Q, O & K.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and so I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. So above is my Q-O-K Challenge ZIA. Here is the one that is colored and the one that is just lines 🙂 🙂 What do you think? Do you like it? Which one do you prefer? I LOVE the one with color on this one! I also like the one with lines on this one. So I am gaining back strength with my health. And thank you for your understanding during this time!!  🙂 🙂
This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! Painting is done!!!  Done!!  Did I mention done?  🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!! I will catch up on our challenges 🙂 :) I am so very sorry I have not been following up on what *you* are doing!!
Which Tangle is Which?
Queen’s Crown is the crown in the upper left. Oolong is new to me. Â I was always hesitant to try it because it looks so complex. Â Then actually the directions make it quite doable!! Â Oolong is the vine along the right side. Kakti is the cactus in the bottom middle.
Olivio is the 2 vines of olive leaves wrapped around and flowing from the crown. Â It has the olives right there. Â Thus Ojo is the other 2 vines wrapped around the crown and flowing gracefully down. Â There are pompoms and little fuzzy whiskers and lines of tiny bubbles. Â 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio NEWS and Thank You!
Now that the painting is done, I should really get my studio back within a couple of weeks. Â Of course all the things from my bedroom (which has also been my office and studio the last couple of years) are dumped in the studio. Â There will be a lot of sorting and changing configurations of my bedroom and studio … But that *will* get done!! Â Also, it has been a heat wave here and I haven’t done much (plus I fell). Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy
