Bringing it Back to Old School Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #250: “Bringing it Back to the Old School”. So here is what the Diva says this week “This week’s challenge is for us to go back to the roots of this Zentangle thing. This week challenge is to create a piece on a WHITE 3.5” square tile, with a Black pen and pencil for shading. To take the time to slow down and enjoy the process. Enjoy the feel of the pen on the paper. Create a string, and maybe use 4 or 5 tangles you really enjoy.
don’t think about composition. don’t think about how you want it to look in the end. Just put your pen to paper and begin and enjoy the process. after all. It’s ABOUT the process. Not the product.” So these is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) making a Bringing it Back to Old School.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. I put my name with a © more prominently to protect my work. Here is my Bringing it Back to Old School 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
Ojo is the edging on the bottom right and right side. Jax is the edging across the top. Cat-Kin is the bottom left and left side edging. Chimidle is the inside edging. Star Map is the upper left section.  Fish Net is the bottom left section.  Floral Net is the upper right section.  Upholstered is the bottom right section.  🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! NOW with all the repair work to come, there will be more dumping!! LOL!!) But even my studio got damaged 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy

Love how light and airy this tile is.
You have reminded me of several patterns on this lovely tile that I haven’t used in ages. Thank you for bringing them back to my notice.
Very nice “basic” tile, Diane!
I like this organic back to basic tile.
Fun tile 🙂
A great basic tile and yet it still has your style about it
Beautiful tile!
I’m a CZT, yet everyone of the tangles you used is new to me. I don’t know if it was intentional, but the combination of the tangles you chose combine for an airy, lacy effect. Easy on the eye and spirit.
Beautiful and very airy tile! I like it!
It’s so lacy. Reminds me of a snood…something for a bride to wear on her head. Beautiful!
So delicate….nice selection of tangles! Some of these I only know the name and haven’t tried, so thank you for listing the names. I’m going to look them up and give them a try.
