Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #43: Tangle with D-N-E. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #43, the Alphabet challenge of D-N-E. Use tangles starting with the letters D, N & E in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your D, N & E.” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with the letters D, N & E.

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. I put my name with a © more prominently to protect my work. I am not sure this is as beautiful as I would like for something that is basically my name 🙂 :)  DIANE.  So above is my D-N-E Challenge ZIA. 🙂 what do you think? Do you like it? 🙂 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!!  .. painting is going on and of course stretching out 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!  I will catch up 🙂 🙂

I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Tangle within a Tangle Challenge

Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #252: “String Theory: Tangle within a tangle… it’s like inception… but with tangles”. So here is what the Diva says this week “This week’s challenge is to use a tangle as your string. Any tangle you like, just biggify it to make it a string. Then? Tangle inside! i’ve really been feeling Flux lately, so i chose flux as my tangle/string. … My favourite one is the Flux in the Flux. Like Inception. 😉 ” So these is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) making a Tangle within a Tangle.

Which Tangle is Which?

Izland Flower is the flower and I used this as my tangle to Tangle within a Tangle.  Barberpole is the striped vines between the flowers.  Tipple is the little circles filling in 3 flowers.  🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂

Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. I put my name with a © more prominently to protect my work. So above is my I-J-G Challenge ZIA. 🙂 what do you think? Do you like it?  🙂 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!!  The ceiling has come down and is now back up (a new one that isn’t a mess from water damage) .. painting is going on  :)  Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. Gumleaves is the vines coming from the top left.  Jumu is the 2 plants sprouting up from the middle right. Iza is the flowers coming from the top right, bottom right and bottom left corners. 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

SuzyMosh Creations puts out a challenge for folks to make a representation of “That’s New to Me!” This week is the SuzyMosh Creations – New to Me Q. Suzy says “I will post each Sunday a randomly selected letter that your new pattern has to start with. If you feel adventurous, use more than one new pattern that starts with that letter. … Remember that these need to be patterns you’ve never drawn before. You may use any other patterns that you wish in your drawing. You must use at least one New to Me pattern starting with the letter Q. Q is a repeat, so we have an an Artist Focus this week on Barbara Finwall! You must use one of Barbara Finwall’s tangles in your drawing.” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using New to Me Q, Artist Focus Barbara Finwall tangle.

I have been noticing it and wanting to try it – so this is the time!! 🙂 🙂 I put my name with a © more prominently to protect my work. So above is my New to Me Q, Artist Focus Barbara Finwall Tangle ZIA. The tangle New to Me Q is Quickzly. Barbara Finwall designed Gnarly. 🙂 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! I need to work on staying in the flow with everything going on. 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks!! That means a lot to me!!

Quickzly is the 2 seed pods with lovely delicate curls coming out … and little seeds in the middle of each.  Gnarly is the robust curls with thick curls coming from it.  🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
