Monotangle Tree: Wist
Monotangle Tree Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. Dilip Patel is the first CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher) from India and he and his wife are one of the few couples where both partners are CZT. So cool!! This week is the Weekly Challenge #246: “Guest Post: Monotangle Trees”. So here is what the guest blogger Dilip Patel says this week “I had the honour of speaking at the CZT21 seminar this year where I presented my thoughts on using Zentangle method for creating some social good. I believe Zentangle has a potential to impact society in many ways. In this challenge I propose to use Zentangle for one such issue and get each one of you involved in making a Zentangle statement for a great cause! Choose any tangle pattern of your liking and create a tree using only the chosen tangle over strings representing a tree.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. I put my name with a © more prominently to protect my work. I have been an environmental activist for a long time and I really appreciate each action we each take toward protecting the earth. It is a combination of both the personal and political (really just meaning group action) that we need to be doing!!  🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
That is easy – it is all Wist 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! NOW with all the repair work to come, there will be more dumping!! LOL!!) But even my studio got damaged 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy

Very nice, Diane. I like the tropical, frondy look to your tree.
Thank you, Jean – glad you like the tropical feel – probably because too cold here 🙂 🙂 🙂
Wist, I didn’t think of Wist! It makes a great tree. Thank you for all your lovely comments recently, I hope all is going well for you.
Glad you like my tree, YT 🙂 🙂 Thank you!! 🙂
Very nice tree! 🙂
Thank you, Lily!! 🙂
This tree must stand in a tropical forest!
Annemarie, I think you are right that it is the tropics 🙂 🙂 🙂
Love your tree – Caribbean feeling 🙂
I love the idea of a Caribbean tree, Anja!! 🙂 🙂 Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
Reminds me of a jungle 🙂
Ilse, yes, I can see the jungle!! 🙂 🙂
Wist is a new tangle for me. Thanks for sharing it. It also lends itself very nicely to this week’s Diva challenge.
Cool that you found a new tangle, Suzanne!! Thank you!!! 🙂 🙂
What a good idea to use Wist – it works well for a tree.
Thank you so much, Marie!! 🙂 🙂
Lovely! Wist in white on black is really effective!
Delighted you like the white on black, Sue!! 🙂
