Hollibaugh Challenge Entry, White Pen © Diane Clancy
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #245: “Back to Basics – Hollibaugh”. So here is what the Diva says this week “In my opinion, Hollibaugh is one of the foundations of tangling. Â It is literally the first tangle i teach when i am sharing zentangle with someone new because it uses the drawing behind method that so many other tangles use as well. You can see step outs of hollibaugh here
This type of tangle, in particular, really lends to that complex look that tangling can have, but in reality it is really quite simple. It’s another great tangle that leaves a lot of room for tangleations. I’m looking forward to see what you all do with it. It’s fun to explore tangles and stretch ’em out and see where they go.” So these are little ZIAs (Zentangle Inspired Art) using Hollibaugh.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. I put my name with a © more prominently to protect my work. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Also let us pause and give great thanks to the Native Americans (Indians, depending on where you live) who welcomed us to share their land. I encourage all to give Indians blessings and strength in their struggles to regain certain lands. Might be a good idea to welcome others as so many of us were welcomed. 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
That is easy – it is all Hollibaugh 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! NOW with all the repair work to come, there will be more dumping!! LOL!!) But even my studio got damaged 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy
