Sharla Hicks Undulating Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. Over the summer the Diva has guest bloggers to spend more time with her family. This week is the Weekly Challenge #231: “The Undulating Tangles in C and S minor”. So here is what Sharla Hicks says this week (and lots more too – a good read!!) “What senses are activated when you read the word undulating. What do you hear, see and feel when using the word undulating? Does it evoke images of soft swaying movement dancing to music, does it evoke a sense of rolling hills, or gentle waves on your favorite lake? For me undulating evokes positive warm emotions that help me feel relaxed and peaceful and I actually feel myself begin to sway. ….
Have fun exploring your favorite undulating C and S curve tangle and look carefully for your own unique style that is developing with each Zentangle tile or Zentangle Inspired Art piece. Working in an ongoing series benefits creative thinking and exploration.” So this is a little Undulating ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art)
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. I put my name with a © more prominently since some folks’ zentangles are getting stolen and printed on posters and such. I got very tangled in this trying to decide a direction – probably a reflection of my state of mind :) :) The roofer has almost finished and he is fabulous!! The wheelchair ramp is done and it looks great!! Running into some other issues. Please wish me luck staying in the flow!!! 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
This is easy!! It is all SharlaRella 🙂 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! NOW with all the repair work to come, there will be more dumping!! LOL!!) But even my studio got damaged 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy

I love the colors of your undulating tangle!
Thank you so much for loving the colors, Ilse!! 🙂
I have a weakness for blues and greens 😉
Good, Ilse … 🙂 🙂
The wild colours really bring this to life and using just the two patterns focuses the mind. Very nice.
I love what you said, Maggibee!!! Thank you! 🙂
Beautiful work, Diane! Love the color too!
Jean, thank you so much!!! 🙂 🙂
I like this a lot, Diane!!! Great colors and design.
Delighted you like this a lot, Annemarie!! Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
Oh Diane, this really does dance! That was my first thought even before I read your post. The colors, while technically considered “cool”, are anything but calm – they generate some heat! I love it!
Antonine ~ I love what you said – thank you!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Thank you Ulrike!!! 🙂
Beautiful tile 🙂
Lily, thank you so much!!! 🙂 🙂
It’s very pretty with spring colors.
Glad you like the spring colors, Courtois! 🙂 🙂
Wonderful and colourful tile!
Thank you, LonettA!!! 🙂
Interesting, we both started out with the same idea, but ended up in somewhat different places. I love the colors you used. I’m writing this at the shore in New Jersey, so I’m in a blue/green state of mind. Nice.
Suzanne, our starting ideas sure were similar but became so different!! Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
Phantastic coloration of this beautiful tile!
What a great comment, Simone!!! Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
Great tile Diane! I absolutely love those colors and the movement in the piece. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely and thoughtful comments.
Thank you so much, Michele for loving the colors and movement!!! 🙂 🙂
I’ve been doing some manga drawings for a friend and I thought what you did with sharlarella is perfect for a new hairstyle, even the colors you used! It definitely has lots of movement!
Yukari, cool that you think this works for a new hairstyle!! You will have to show it to me 🙂 🙂 Thank you! 🙂
