U-N-I Challenge
Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #16: Tangle with U-N-I. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #16, the Alphabet challenge of U-N-I. Use tangles starting with the letters U, N & I in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your U, N & I” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with U, N & I.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last several years and I have been intrigued and putting my attention to it. So above is my U-N-I Challenge ZIA. 🙂 what do you think? 🙂 🙂 Do you like the color better? Does it add anything … or subtract? Some people said it has been useful to them to see some of my work in grayscale to learn about color – so here it is :) 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! The roof has been started and we have figured out a couple of things with the repair – so I am very relieved!! and getting back in the flow!!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!! 🙂 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
Izland Flower is the pretty full flowers on a vine that gracefully dance across the top. Inapod is the 4 flowers on the left that have blossoms on the top of stems – the blossoms have pea pods in the center vertically.  Iza is the 2 low flowers to the right and left of Inapod – the have full blossoms. Ninna 1 is the 2 tall stems on the right. Uncorked is atop the left Ninna I. Nia is the fans that are on top and around the right Ninna I and also scattered across the bottom.  🙂 There you have it!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) We got more estimates of more stuff that needs to be done and it is daunting!!! 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy

I think that the color adds a uplifting feeling to it. When you take that away, you change the feeling. It’s still beautiful, I think, just different. It might just be me though, either way, great job.

Angela
Dear Angela, thank you so very much for giving me this feedback!! I LOVE the color 🙂 🙂 Thank you!!
The colored one really brings summer to you and I love that (it’s raining cats and dogs here for some days now). I also like the design of this tile.
And, as an answer to your question on my blog, the elderly lady and I never spoke of payment for what I’ll make for her. Stupid? Maybe 🙂
Annemarie, delighted you like the colored one – I do too 🙂 I am looking forward to the sun too!! You are not stupid … we each follow our own paths in how we handle these things and how we learn!! 🙂 🙂 Thank you!!
Love the coloured one.
Thank you so very much, Susan!!! 🙂 🙂
