Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #9: Tangle with Y-Z-A. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #9, the Alphabet challenge of Y-Z-A. Use tangles starting with the letters Y, Z & A in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your Y, Z & A” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with Y, Z & A.

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it.  So above is my Y-Z-A Challenge ZIA. :)  what do you think? 🙂 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!!  Well, between having to fix the foundation, the roof and lots and lots inside, the summer is not going to be what I had hoped for – but got the ball rolling on some of it (my part anyway) so now I need to find a way to get back in the flow!!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!  I am in the process of catching up (again!!)  🙂

Which Tangle is Which?

Aquafleur is the big seashell on the upper left.  Yomaho is the strings of hearts hanging in the middle.  Allium is the hanging strings of ovals with layers, alternating white and black.  Allium is on the right and some near the bottom left. Zinger and Zilly are the mushrooms hanging off the strings.  Zilly is the mushrooms with the caps that are one piece (with lines to show the roundness).  Zinger is the mushrooms that have layers that make up their caps.  There you have it!! 🙂

My Studio and Thank You!

I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!)
