Straight Lines Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #219: “Straight Lines all the Tines…er, times”. So here is what the Diva says this week “Today’s challenge is a fun one. The challenge is to use ONLY straight lines, and i found it particularly challenging. I found it interesting to find a way to use the straight lines to create some movement in my tile.” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using only Straight Lines.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and am putting my attention to it. Spring is HERE!!! 🙂 It is SO great to have windows open (on the warm days – fall has arrived now 🙂 )Â !! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!! I had not been in a position to return comments as I would wish 🙂 Thank you!! I need to catch up again I believe 🙂
How I Started
I started on the other side of the tile and gave up (first time I have done that – I have always just pioneered onward.) I started with the checkerboard Knightsbridge and then realized I couldn’t fill anything.  I just realized I could have used lines to fill it …. oh well 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
Side Steppin’ is the double lines that are vertical and horizontal. The mainly have open ends. I never heard of this before. Akuras is in the right bottom corner and in the mid-bottom middle. It sort of looks like a star.  Paradox, is all the rest – triangles with lines going inward. 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! NOW with all the repair work to come, there will be more dumping!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy
