V-W-X Challenge
Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #8: Tangle with V-W-X. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #8, the Alphabet challenge of V-W-X. Use tangles starting with the letters V, W & X in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your V, W & X” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with V, W & X.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. Spring is here!!! 🙂 🙂 After such a rough winter, we have a lot of repair work to do … I can’t tell you how much!! … so we have a *full* plate!! So above is my V-W-X Challenge ZIA. 🙂 I had to work ahead a little to put out the challenge post … so did the version with just pen, not even totally done. But then I wanted to do a little more to have something better up there – so added detail and some green – in some ways I like this better – what do you think? :) 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!
Which Tangle is Which?
The 3 green leaves of Wild Lettuce are at the bottom middle. Wist is the 6 green strands of leaves starting from the upper left corner. Weeping-W is the set of green hanging leaves in the upper right corner. Xplode is the set of flags all popping out in the right bottom corner and middle. Then to the strands of pink and green flowers. Flower sets, starting from the left, 1, 4, 5, 6 are all Vine Thanks – I have never done them before. Vigne is stalks 2 and 3 from the left. There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) We got an estimate of what needs to be done and it is daunting!!! 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy
