S-T-U Challenge

Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #7: Tangle with S-T-U. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #7, the Alphabet challenge of S-T-U. Use tangles starting with the letters S, T & U in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your S, T & U” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with S, T & U.

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. Spring is here!!! 🙂 🙂 After such a rough winter, we have a lot of repair work to do … I can’t tell you how much!! … so we have a *full* plate!! So above is my S-T-U Challenge ZIA. 🙂 I had to work ahead a little to put out the challenge post … so did the version with just pen, not even totally done. But I wanted to add color to it (or shading) … what do you think? I thought it was cool in grayscale too 🙂 :)  When something looks good in grayscale too, that is a good sign that the value works  🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!

Which Tangle is Which?

Shrums are the mushrooms.  Tuscadero are the giant candy canes. Upholstered is the quilted background.  Another time with such a lot in the middle, I might figure out another way to be more accurate :)  There you have it!! 🙂

My Studio and Thank You!

I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!!
