Traced Object String Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #213: “Traced Object Strings”. So here is what the Diva says this week “one of the cool things at the end of the day was when Margaret Bremner shared with us a quick trick to making interesting strings. She uses the leftover cardboard from board game pieces as stencils to create interesting strings and she brought a whole bunch with her for us to try out… So, i grabbed a stack of tiles and i just traced strings like crazy, knowing that i would come back to them and do them up! … So, this week’s challenge is to trace an object to create a new and interesting string.” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using Traced Object String.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and am putting my attention to it. Spring is coming 🙂 I am feeling there is light at the end of the tunnel!! This challenge got a little out of control with Traced Object String 🙂 :)  I started thinking circles, added an oval … then a knife. Added a spoon so I had to do a fork and I did the hexagon first – like I said, a little out of control!! So I ended up with thickish colored strings and then tangled in black inside them – with relatively light tangles and put into solid black what needed to be. Ouch!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!! I had not been in a position to return comments as I would wish 🙂 Thank you!! I will catch up over the weekend!!!
Which Tangle is Which?
Sorry – I don’t have the energy this week to go through all these bits and pieces :)Â 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy
