Flux Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #211: “Flux”. So here is what the Diva says this week “Sadly I won’t be able to issue a challenge this week. …okay after publishing this I checked my email and saw that newest zentangle newsletter has gone out. Â in it they are sharing the official tangle FLUX in the Rick version and the Maria version. If you’re so inclined, we’ll make this the challenge for the week.” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using Flux.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and am putting my attention to it. Spring is coming … the leaks all over the house are taking a break til a rainstorm and if we are lucky it won’t leak 🙂 I am feeling there is light at the end of the tunnel!! I have used Flux before – sort of putting together how to use it by looking at what others created and called Flux. But Rick and Maria’s Flux are different from what I figured out (not totally different, just subtly). I had a pretty hard time starting this and eventually just did a couple of Flux and dove in and then it started to flow once I added another tangle. So yay – I am pretty happy with this!! 🙂 This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected! 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!! I had not been in a position to return comments as I would wish 🙂 🙂 Thank you!! I think I am caught up now 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
Rick’s Flux is the big floppy set of leaves near the top left and on the right middle. They are leaves with pearls nested in the leaf structure :) Maria’s Flux in the teardrop leaves in the middle left and near the bottom right. They also have pearls around the leaves. Leef Chainz is the chains of leaves that start at the bottom right corner and go up the right side of the tile. Leef Chainz also heads out in the left direction on the bottom and in the middle of the bottom heads up the middle of the tile to meet RIck’s Flux in the top left. Branches also connect here and there. There are lovely berries that come with Leef Chainz!   Loops ‘n Leaves starts in the top right corner and winds across the whole top and then meanders down the left side and takes a turn and goes half way across the bottom to meet Leef Chainz in the middle bottom. This delightful tangle Loops ‘n Leaves has curls, leaves, nestling berries and wands of pearls. There you have it!! 🙂

My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! I am really loving your creation…very cool how you used both Flux tangles in the same tile!
Thank you so very much, Lynell!! Delighted!! 🙂
Your tile has a ‘Springy’ feeling, nice!
Thank you, Ilse!!! 🙂 Spring!! 🙂
this is a happy tile, to go along with a happy post. I love how you “map out” your explaining where each tangle is, in each tile. So nice.
I am happy that you like my mapping out 🙂 Thank you!!
Your Flux, next to some other leaves is beautiful!
Thank you for saying my Flux is beautiful, Annemarie!! 🙂
