Amanda Day / Earth Day 4 Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #214: “Amanda Day / Earth Day 4”. So here is what the Diva says this week “This Wednesday is Earth Day. I know this because it’s on my calendar, but mostly i know this because Chewie is learning about Earth Day in grade one and so he comes home and tells me its X many days left until Earth Day. So, there’s this thing that happened 4 years ago, when Chewie was only 4 and Artoo was 18 months old – Chewie decided to rename the Earth Amanda.  I’m not sure why.  I don’t even think he knows anyone called Amanda.  But the name has stuck.
So, this week GO wherever the challenge takes you; round tile, or plant like tangles, or use earth tones, or used recycled materials, or something cool i haven’t thought of!! – – – Happy Earth Day everyone! (Happy Amanda Day, Chewie!)” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) for Amanda Day / Earth Day 4.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and am putting my attention to it. Spring is coming 🙂 I am feeling there is light at the end of the tunnel!! This is one of my gardens that is very Earth Day like to me 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!! I had not been in a position to return comments as I would wish 🙂 Thank you!! I think I am caught up now 🙂
Which Tangle is Which?
Trio is the rounded flower right in the middle … there is also Trio in the upper right and upper middle. Coaster is down the left side. PokeLeaf (pointed) and PokeRoot (rounded) are the little mushrooms at the bottom. Barberpole is the pink limb from the bottom left to the middle right, the green limb from upper left to bottom right and the white limb in the upper right. Piano is in the upper corner between Barberpole and a Trio. Nipa is the water between 2 Baberpole in the lower middle right. There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge
My friend Carolien and myself felt the need for having an extra Zentangle Challenge each week. Come join us in the fun!! Details at Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge.
My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy

Your world is so colourful, nice!
Thank you so much Ilse for saying my world is colorful!! 🙂
That reminds me of a rainforest come alive at night! It’s so full and colorful to look at. Nice!! Sarah.
Sarah, a rain forest sounds great – thank you!! 🙂
I have not done mine for the week, but yours is so interesting. I have not worked on black yet, so this intrigues me! Thanks for including the names of the patterns. 🙂 That helps a newbie.
Thank you so much, Jenny!! I know – the patterns help me a lot too!! 🙂
Trio is one of my favorite tangles. It does seem like a good choice for the Earth Day challenge.
Thank you so much, Suzanne!! I love Trio too 🙂
Great Diva challenge response. Love how Trio takes center stage for Earth Day.
