D-E-FÂ Challenge: Dragonfly By, Draz Day, Embrose, Efeu, Flos, FEDR, Floral Net
Original Version
This is the original version and when I put it online, I decided everything pretty much got lost in Floral Net, except Draz Day (the big flower on the left). I might have overdone trying to make Draz Dat stand out (above) ~ what do you think? I think the rest might have needed the boost … maybe I should have left Flos alone (the bottom left flowers) :) Which way do you prefer? Well, I can’t undo it now 🙂

D-E-F Challenge
Each week Carolien and I put out a challenge for folks to make their representation of our idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #2: Tangle with D-E-F. So here is what we say this week “This week is Challenge #2, the Alphabet challenge of D-E-F. Use tangles starting with the letters D, E & F in your drawing. It’s your choice to only use patterns with these letters or to add some others as well. Happy Tangling!! We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your D, E & F” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with D, E & F.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. Spring is coming even though we still have a lot of snow here and there 🙂 So above is my D-E-F Challenge ZIA. 🙂 I am not very satisfied by this!! I need more contrast in color … and my lovely Floral Net just kind of blended everything together. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!
Which Tangle is Which?
Well, I went over a lot of the color and now I don’t know what to think!! :) :) Draz Day is puffy plant near the bottom left. It has big flowers – 4 on the plant – 2 on each side. I love this tangle that is new to me. Flos is on the bottom left corner – 2 plants with 3 sets of leaves and one at the end …. with dots coming out between the leaves. Efeu is a lovely plant that I basically butchered. It is to the right of Draz Day …. very thin looking in colors that aren’t bright or thick enough. (Update- they are brighter and thicker but still they need a better platform 🙂 ) FEDR is the 6 weedy looking plants on tall stems with a flower on top.  Dragonfly By is the 3 dragonflies near the top right.  Embrose is the leafy vine in the top left. Floral net is behind everything :) There you have it!! 🙂
Diane & Carolien’s Weekly Zentangle Challenge

My Studio and Thank You!
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!! The leaks have stopped for the moment so my studio is getting a little cleared 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy
