Tangles That Start With D-E-F Challenge
Each week Artful Creations puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Tangles That Start With D-E-F. So here is what Artful Creations says this week “Tackle It Tuesday, Tangles That Start With D-E-F. You may use all or as many as you choose.” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using tangles that start with D-E-F.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. I am able to be more in the flow again – whew! So above is my Tangles That Start With D-E-F Zentangle Tangle ZIA. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!
Which Tangle is Which?
The strands at the top right and bottom left are Frillee. Then just inside those strands are other ones – they are Fandango. This is totally new to me and I love it!! Looking at the top right, under the Fandango is Drip-Drop – the drops dripping down :) Underneath Drip-Drop is Euca. I found this one before and think it is beautiful (along with the other 2 related tangles both of which I used here) – all 3 come from flowers and the creator talks about them. So Euca is the 3 lines of flowers under Drip-Drop – with one strand of Euca near the top left. On the left side of this tile is D-Vine – the flowers with petals like wings. Both Fifolia and Fafolia are inspired by flowers. Fafolia are the circles of flowers behind D-Vine at the top left. The look like Dandelions when they have gone to seed. The Fifolia is behind D-Vine on the bottom left half. Both of these also echo a little bit to the right of Drip-Drop and Euca. There you have it!! 🙂
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! ~ Diane Clancy
