Pop of Color Challenge
Occasionally some friends put out a challenge for folks to make a representation of their idea. It is my turn to choose the challenge this week. This week is the Tangled Thursday – W however you want it. So I say “I have been wanting to add just a touch of color to make a tile pop.  I have seen some spectacular ones that are in black and then have a couple fields of color – often red.  It might be some balloons, or the feathers or a bird – but some part of the entangle filled with color.  But only one part so it pops out.
If that doesn’t float your boat, then add a little (or a lot) of color somewhere … or else just make a tile!! Â I sure want to see whatever you come up with. Â Please no stress about this one .. it is something I have so wanted to try and have been hesitant.” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using a Pop of Color.
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. It is still a big deal here for me – with snow and ice. A new leak started right over the bed last night! So above is my Pop of Color Zentangle Tangle ZIA. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected. This was fun – but I spent hours and hours looking and digesting what it was that I wanted to make 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!
Which Tangle is Which?
All the black and white stripes are Knightsbridge. The circles that are at the end of the stems as flowers – and also floating around – are Drobbles. The pod on the left is filled with Patena. Moving to the right, the next pod is filled with Floral Net (new to me and I love it). The pod that is partly hidden, next to the right, is Florz. The right pod is filled with Upholstered. Zinger is the vegetation on the left bottom. Spearl is the middle bottom vegetation. Poke Root and Poke Leaf are on the right bottom. Poke Root is the rounded ones and Poke Leaf is the pointed ones. There you have it!! 🙂
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy

I like how you keep a tight control on just a bit of colour. It really stands out from the black. Well Done.
Thanks for this challenge and for linking up with Tangled Thursday.
Thank you so very much, Heather!! 🙂
