Tools-Trade Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #206: “Tools-Trade”. So here is what the Diva says this week “This week’s challenge is to try using tools or materials you’ve never used before for tangling. Â Maybe you’ve always wanted to try tangling with watercolours instead of pens? Or maybe india ink? Or maybe a ballpoint pen? or perhaps you want to use nature and create a piece in the snow or the sand, or out of plants or flowers or twigs… maybe you want to use your sewing machine? Or try some embroidery? maybe you want to use a digital drawing program?
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and am putting my attention to it. All of these tangles are new to me. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected! 🙂 🙂 This is the first time I have used a tan tile. I was planning to use more colored pen but the colored pencil took over! It is also the first time I have significantly used colored pencil on a tile 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!
Which Tangle is Which?
Leef-e-vin is the vine winding itself up the right side of the tile. HulaBerry dances in the middle. Alabastro is the leaves on the left side and then drifting in the middle and the right also 🙂 There you have it!! 🙂
I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy

Stunning! You should use color pencil more often, it’s great! Also lovely on the tan tiles. Looks like expensive fabric or something 🙂
Zandiepants, thank you for saying that … I was thinking along similar lines 🙂
Lovely coloring on lovely tangles!
Annemarie, thank you 🙂

Delighted you think the colors are gorgeous!! 🙂
Your color choices are wonderful and the final result is stunning! You’ve used some tangles that are “new to me” so now I have to go look them up…they work so well together and your tile is gorgeous!

Beautifully done and such lovely colors! It was great to see, when all I see outside is white! Thanks for the lovely touch of spring!
You are most welcome for spring – I need it too 🙂
That looks fantastic! The colours are lovely.
Beewatch, happy you love the colors!! 🙂
Beautifully done and feels like spring with those colors. None of those tangles are familiar to me, so I will have to give them a try. Very nice work.
Thank you so much – delighted!! 🙂 🙂
I love this. Those colors and your composition are just stunning!
Thank you, Jean for saying this is stunning!!! 🙂
