Hand Challenge

Each week Joey puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the joey’s weekly tangle challenge #45. So here is what Joey says this week “To tell you the truth when this idea came to me it made me laugh but I think it will be fun! This week I want you to try your hand at tangling. Yes, you read that right, now let me explain further: place your hand on your paper, trace around it, now fill it with tangles! You choose which hand and which tangles fit your style.” So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using my Hand … and you can see some of my arthritis.

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. I am able to be more in the flow again – whew! So above are my Hand Zentangle Tangle ZIAs. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected! Even for something so simple 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!

Which Tangle is Which?

The net in the upside down heart in the palm is Florz.  The purple beads across the tips of the fingers … winding down to the bottom of the hand … and making another upside down heart … is Beadlines.  The tangle next down the tips of the fingers (with the hearts in the center) is Chebucto.  Below that the orange striped snaky thing dancing across the fingers is Btl Joos.  Btl Joos also plays a little down to the base of 2 fingers.  The tangle across the base of the fingers is Boo-Kee. Coaster (the green and orange fan or roller coaster) is on the right of the palm. Aura-Leah is the purple flowers on the left of the palm. There you have it!! 🙂

I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and now only a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – but the rest is organized!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!! ~ Diane Clancy
