UMT – Athitzi Challenge

Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #203: “UMT – Athitzi by Seven”. So here is what the Diva says this week “This week’s Use My Tangle challenge is brought to you by Seven – and it is called Athitzi.  You can find the step outs for the tangle HERE. This week’s challenge is to incorporate Athitzi into your tile or piece.  I know i’ll probably come back again and again to this one.”   So this is a little ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using Athitzi 🙂

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and am putting my attention to it. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected! And I started with a right side up (yes, I know they are supposed to go every direction) then on the back I put my tangles, signature and challenge in upside down 🙂 🙂 Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!!

Which Tangle is Which?

The frilly strands on all 4 corners are – surprise – Frillee.  The 2 heavier lace bands that go cross-wise are Fandango.  I learned that this week and really like it!!  Athitzi and Confettus are wound around each other, dancing in the middle.  Athitzi is the one with the parallel lines next to each other.  Confettus is the string with little dots on it – sort of like Christmas tree lights.  There you have it!! 🙂

I am organizing my studio again to be able to work and a table has tons of stuff dumped on it – and more stuff is dumped in there from the holidays!! (My studio always gets filled up when there are projects in the house that need a place to dump a bunch of stuff for awhile!! LOL!!) Thank you for stopping by!! I LOVE comments!!
