63Y Challenge

Wacky Zentangle Weekly Challenges (a Facebook group) puts out a challenge for folks to make a representation of an idea.  This week is the Wacky Zentangle Weekly Challenges 63Y. They say “This week in quieter moments I have been playing with a “new to me” pattern called 63Y- it’s very pretty,  and quite addictive when you get the hang of it!  I hope you will give it a go if you have not played with it before- I’d love to see what you do with it :)  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/348325352404520575” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using 63Y.

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. I am able to be more in the flow again – whew! So above is my 63Y Zentangle Tangle ZIA. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!! Thank you to everyone who made comments on my posts these last weeks. That means a lot to me!! I am still in the process of catching up. I now have a rhythm of what challenges I am entering … so that should help 🙂

Which Tangle is Which?

The whole bottom left corner is 63Y including a variation.  This was my very first try at it – plus I made it during my treatment with a needle in my hand … but grids are not the my easiest.  But I love the way it looks on Pinterest.  The arch from the top left to the middle bottom right is Kloonz.  Chartz is the zig zag on the right side.  Notice I decided to treat it as a unit – meaning I let the “white” of it stay white instead of revealing the other tangle.  I am not so sure I would do that again.  Chime is the wind chimes hanging from the top down.  There you have it!! 🙂
