Tangleation Nation: Rain Challenge
Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #168: “My Tangleation Nation: Rain Challenge Entry“. So here is what the Diva says this week “This week’s challenge is to take an official tangle “RAIN” and use variations or tangleations of it. Â I chose rain this week, solely because it has been raining for the past 24 hours. lol.” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) using this Rain tangle in some variation!
Zentangle Enticed Me
Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. I wanted to try some tangles that are new to me to practice so above is my Tangleation Nation: Rain ZentangleTangle ZIA. This – of course – went in a very different direction than expected!
Which Tangle is Which?
Well … there are only 3 tangles. The variation of Rain is the line of black triangles that weaves around this ZIA. The 7 pods on the right with black centers and spotted outsides are Ineer. Taverham is the lines of pea pods that get larger and smaller. There are 3 strands of them, but the strand on the right is the one that is the best representation of Taverham. (getting larger and smaller in a line is part of the tangle.) I am always a little shocked when I see my ZIA blown up – all these spaces then show up … but I wanted to get it into the Diva’s challenge.
I am still creating these ZIAs lying down while working on an Art Card size (2.5×3.5″). So perhaps not too bad given that.
I have been slowly sharing my other ones on Facebook. I changed to using Art Card size (2.5×3.5″) since I have a bunch cut out already from good quality paper. It might not be as smooth as it should be. But I am learning! And my studio is getting more organized so maybe I can cut some new paper!! I can’t wait to find my black paper and do some cutting! Thank you!! ~ Diane Clancy

Nice and bold on this one, Diane. I love Inapod too and I never think to use it.
GREAT tangling… as you start to remember each one you will flow a lot easier… as we all started someplace… You are doing wonderful… Love, Light and Peace…Bonnie
