Rixty Challenge

Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #163: “New Official Tangle – Rixty“. So here is what the Diva says “Rick and Maria at Zentangle HQ have released the step-outs for their new tangle “Rixty” in the newest Zentangle Newsletter. ” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) working with the tangle Rixty your art. This is a new tangle for me!

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. I wanted to try some tangles that are new to me to practice so here is my ZIA.

New Official Tangle – Rixty

The Rixty is sort of fun with several variations – I tried to explore some of them. Clearly my hands are very shaky today. So I did this lying down and being shaky. This is what I could do!

Which Tangle is Which?

Rixty are the 4 lines of triangles.  Geisel are the 2 chains from the bottom.  Giggle vine is in the middle of the bottom and a variation is in the middle of the top.

I have been slowly sharing my other ones on Facebook. I changed to using Art Card size (2.5×3.5″) since I have a bunch cut out already from good quality paper. It might not be as smooth as it should be. But I am learning! And my studio is getting more organized so maybe I can cut some new paper!! I can’t wait to find my black paper and do some cutting!
