Earth Day Challenge

Each week the Diva puts out a challenge for folks to make their representation of her idea. This week is the Weekly Challenge #164: “Amanda (Earth) Day“. So here is what the Diva says “Take some inspiration from our Earth, Amanda, this week!” So this is a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) celebrating the earth!  It didn’t really go as planned … I only had a couple of ideas … but it came out as a celebration instead.  We need to keep working hard to protect the Earth to be able to celebrate the state of the Earth – in so many ways!

Zentangle Enticed Me

Zentangle has become popular the last couple of years and I have been intrigued and just starting put my attention to it. I wanted to try some tangles that are new to me to practice so here is my Earth ZIA.  This celebration just started and got going in one direction and another … sort of like most celebrations!

Which Tangle is Which?

Rixty are the line of triangles. H2O Lily is the arch on the left part of the zentangle.  The Chimes are hanging over the arch of H2O Lily.  Giggle vine is the wiggly line in the upper left – the one with all the smiles.  Springkles are sprinkled around – like firecrackers sort of.  I will probably add color but I don’t know when – so I wanted to have this be ready for the Diva’s challenge!

I have been slowly sharing my other ones on Facebook. I changed to using Art Card size (2.5×3.5″) since I have a bunch cut out already from good quality paper. It might not be as smooth as it should be. But I am learning! And my studio is getting more organized so maybe I can cut some new paper!! I can’t wait to find my black paper and do some cutting!
