Stillpoint in the Swirl
This is one of my dreamscapes … Yesterday Sadia of Sadia Paintings said she liked “How about this one? Digital” the best out of the several paintings that Mel had put in his feature of me and my vibrant, colorful paintings … so this is dedicated to Sadia … it is a different color but I think she will enjoy the texture. I just found one of Sadia’s images that I just HAVE to share with you … it is utterly incredible!! Here is the post for this image.
This is also not my usual palette (nor Sadia’s) but I hope the form, texture and meaning will delight Sadia! I see the center of calm in the middle of this painting as the heart or stillpoint as all the motion of emotions and dreams swirl around this center of peace.

I am still dragging from the time change and all the tension of the family issues I have been dealing with … I am hoping to have more energy tomorrow. In the meantime, I am at least sometimes supporting my own Stillpoint. Thank you for stopping by! I would love to hear about you!!

This piece is eerily reminiscent of my dreams. Beautiful, yet rather abstract. I’ve never seen a painting that so accurately captures what I see on any given night/morning. Strangely enough, the organic shades of green are some of the most typical colors I dream. Next to your bubbles, I think this is your most intriguing work to date. Thank you Diane. You are a treasure.
The colors are fabulous and the design is wonderful.
Thank you so much for your kind and gracious gesture Diane ! I’m deeply touched …
Another beautiful art work of yours!
It is difficult to work with this green especially in an abstract design , but Diane you have manipulated the shades and tones extremely well. It’s like a eye at the center and a riot of storms enveloping it in an effort to disrupt the serenity.
Take care, and once again thank you.
Hi Diane, sorry, I’ve been absent for a while. Sometimes I get in over my head. I guess I need to find a Stillpoint myself.
This work reminds me of the things I make myself so, of course, I’m going to like it a lot. I love the colors, so calming and soothing. Green is one of my favorite colors.
I hope you start feeling better soon. I too feel mentally drained and need to pick myself up. Take good care of yourself.
Much love,
Irene
Colors like the ones the artist used are lovely. The are relaxing and smoothing. A painting like that would be nice in a living room.
