Wonderful VAST Valentines
Marionette Kauai Artist has featured several VAST (Visual Artists Street Team) artists on her Valentine’s Day post. Lots of lovely work and thoughts about love.
Marionette of http://www.kauaiartist.etsy.com, http://www.kauai-artist.net and http://kauai-artist.blogspot.com featured me and several of my friends on her post about “What Does Valentine’s Day Mean to You?” The post of this delightful question is right here. Marionette asked several of us to allow her to post our images and answer some questions about Valentine’s Day. I had a great time reading what people said and I was also delighted to be featured here. Here is a screen shot of my section.
I think this image is dynamite for Valentine’s Day – with all the little hearts. I created this painting when my beloved kitty of 18 years … passed over to the other side. I was very very sad … we were best buddies! And my mom had died several months before so I was very sad. My daughter’s kitty … whom I inherited when she grew up … who we had had for 18 years had also died a month and a half before my kitty. So … you see … I was very said from all my loss – but out of that loss I created one of my vibrant, colorful paintings.
So this is my kitty Underground … but notice all the joy and love – I knew he would be celebrated wherever he went – because he is so wonderful! There is an Art Card, ACEO (2 1/2 x 3 1/5″ card) at my Etsy shop. Here is that link. Of course, I would be delighted to provide it to you in a different size. But I hope you will love this like I do!!

Diane,
I love “Underground” too! Thank you for letting me feature your beautiful art and lovely words in my blog and for posting here for more to enjoy!
With Much Aloha,
Marionette
The painting is wonderful, Diane and 18 years is a long time to be able to love a special cat. I hope my cats make it to that ripe old age. The oldest one is 8 years old now, so we have a way to go.
Bi hug,
Irene
