I mentioned that I have been working on painting a birdhouse for the library fundraiser.Â I (well, really Susan) have been taking pictures for you as I go along.Â So here they are.Â This is the unfinished birdhouse I was given to paint … after a friend then sanded it for me.

Well … we missed photographing some of the steps … yellow and red flowers, with blue and purple centers … then the green vinery to activate the negative space among the flowers. Do you want me to explain negative space?

Here is the Sunflower Cottage birdhouse … all ready to go to the library!! Photos of the houses and artists happened at the library yesterday.Â I like to think it looks like it is in the trees outside with all the shadows and sunlight.Â I was so so relieved that people really like it!!
