Playing Around & AWE
You said you wanted some new work … I tried fooling around and made this. I don’t know what to think … but I thought I would share it with you. I did all the printing for the AWE (Artists Window Exhibit) Project today. I am going to have a total of 20 painting matted and framed. We also did Susan’s printing. Whew!

I have 2 stores to be in. One is only for a week .. so luckily I don’t have to all them all prepared for next week. Susan also is in 2 or 3 stores … but there is not as much room for her paintings. I had no idea how much I would have to do when I took the stores no one else wanted. Susan is going to start putting together the frames tomorrow and the glass is coming Thursday. But the big decisions are made … now there is just all the work to make them happen.
I am pretty tired today from all the going up and down stairs from printing yesterday and today. But I can rest more tomorrow … maybe even get to make some comments on your blog! Thank you for being supportive of healing and not pushing myself. I am still just plain weak!! I love hearing how you are!!

Oh Diane, I like “nightbirds” very much. It is full of balance and color and it has that hazy unfocused quality that I like. As if I am seeing it through the looking glass into another world. I hope we see more of this kind of work from you, it is very satisfying to look at.
Take good care of yourself. Come by and visit soon.
Hugs, kisses.
It is beautiful! You are so good at symmetrical painting!
Wowie – Yay Diane
Your new stuff is all so alive. It is hard to believe you can produce this level of creativity while you are still so unwell. Thanks for sharing, but don’t get yourself too tired.
Love love love those colours. This picture has such a lot to look at – apart from the brilliant vibrant colours that hit immediately.
Congratulations on another new avenue of creativity. You are amazing.
Diane, I love these nightbirds. What is the size of this image? Are you doing digital manipulations to your paintings? Fantastic. I’d love to hear more about your process.
Stay well.
This is exceptional work – take care of yourself. Yes, it is fantastic. There is a different aura. Love it.
Another amazing piece, Diane! You must share your process on this one!!! I see the digital manipulations too…but are you painting those birds??? WOW!!
Holy cow! That is cool! I really love the textures and the colour – Amazing…
I agree with everyone, this is very nice. I am floored by that red color and the way it comes across the screen, especially at the lower tip of the birds’ wings, the aqua tone is really well chosen too. I still wonder how you are able to do all your exhibition, maintain your websites, have a life, and still post everyday!!!! Take care, my sweet.
I really like this – unlike anything of yours I’ve seen. Some good mystery in there. Love the colors -especially the cyan.
