Illustration Friday – Garden
Illustration Friday has a challenge every week. This week is Garden. If I felt better I would do a different kind of work … but I am still not that great. So here is my Bubble Garden with the Guardian Bubbles watching over the little ones. I bet you never knew before how I grew all those bubbles for my projects! Illustration Friday is a great way to showcase your work and a wonderful opportunity to meet lots of wonderful people! I encourage you to check it out! Lots of fun people and paintings!

Garden
Gardens are for growing
Flowers, vegies and children
All sort of gardens
Garden of Delight
Garden of Paradise
Earth as a garden
For growing each of us,
As we learn, laugh, love
Find out how to be
Fully Human
Angels watch over us all
Each moment
Ready to help
As soon as we
Reach out for help
Garden of earth
Angel Guardians
Lucky us.
I went to the doctor yesterday but it didn’t go so well (my doctor was away) … but I am alive. She insisted I take a cough medicine that the asthma specialist said I should never take … and it shut down my breathing … thought I would have to go to the ER. She thought I didn’t need most of my asthma meds … only the one she liked. My breathing shut down so much my meds couldn’t get into my lungs … so I ditched what she said to do (she guaranteed that this was right and I should trust her) … so eventually I stopped and started to improve a little.
My breathing is still not as good as when I went to see her .. but it is starting to get better again. And she said I didn’t need the antibiotic but gave me a script at Susan’s insistence .. she said don’t use it for 3 days at least.
I started it last night (at Susan’s insistence) and it has helped a lot already. I was so gray last night from not breathing … it was really scary. So overall it is good I went, but I really backslide from her not looking at me as an individual but just sticking me into her philosophy … but now I think I can do better … and eventually I will breathe better as the meds are beginning to be able to get in my lungs again.
This has been quite a couple of weeks … but I think now I will heal in time for my next Remicade treatment a week from Friday. One can’t take it when one has an infection because it suppresses the immune system … and I have had to put it off twice already … and I can’t go past 8 weeks without trouble and the medicine turning on me. But I think I will be ok now.

It sounds like you have really been having a rough time. As an asthmatic I would be interested in knowing which meds were nixed. I hope that you are feeling good today and that your symptoms have dissipated.
I came by to say hello because I’m visiting fellow OWOH bloggers. It’s fun to peruse sites now that the rush is over. Your IF entry for this week is very interesting. I like the concept.
Also, I have a weekly “Treasure Hunt” on my blog. Each Friday I choose a winner. This weeks prize is my original collage “Arizona Angel”. I hope you’ll stop by.
Again, sending good wishes your way.
Hugs,
Cookie
Hi Diane,
I’m so sorry that you are still so sick! I just hate it when I see a doc that doesn’t “get it” and what they decide is the best course of action turns out to be the worst! I’m so glad that you decided to trust your own instincts. You know your body better than anyone else after all. i hope you are on the road to recovery. I have been thinking a lot about you and keeping you in my prayers as well. I’m sending lots of positive thoughts your way for healing so you can have your next remicade treatment. I know how important they are to your overall health! Take care and Chris sends his love too!

Beautiful garden!
It sucks with doctors….I wish medicine could be more cut and dry…I hope you continue to feel better, Diane!
I do hope you feel better soon it sounds very serious and I do send you my prayers. All my very best – you have my support.
Take care.
John
Very interesting garden!
Diane, asthma is scary, I know because my sister has it. I like you a lot and send all good wishes for feeling better.
I really want to enter this Illustration Friday, and still remember the thumbnails you posted. I am still trying to get my head round Serif however. I also tried to e-mail you a while back about a picture of my dog. Don’t worry about this now you are not well, I’ll try and do it another time.
I love this entry. It has a Garden of Eden feel to it, what with the one tree in it.
I love your garden of bubbles, I love the poem and I really hope you feel better soon. Take good care of yourself my very artistic friend!
Hi Diane, your bubble garden is lovely and so is your tree. I am sorry that you are still not well, but it seems that you made the right decision about the medicines and that doctor was totally wrong.
I had to look up Remicade treatment, as I had no idea what it was for, but I am much wiser now. I never knew quite what your medical problem was other than your asthma.
I hope everything works out well and that you are well enough to do the treatment.
Big hugs, Irene
oh God, Diane please teach me a little sense or art 🙂
Hi Diane, I didn’t receive a comment from you yesterday. Do you mind sending it again?
