Illustration Friday – Choose … & Award
Illustration Friday has a challenge every week. This week is Choose. My painting is in honor of Robert Frost’s poem, “The Road Not Taken.” That poem moved me a lot in the 6th grade. It penetrated my soul very deeply. Illustration Friday is a great way to showcase your work and a wonderful opportunity to meet lots of wonderful people! I encourage you to check it out! Lots of fun people and paintings!

Choose
Each choice has meaning,
Consequences,
Good parts and hard
Most choices can have value
Following one’s heart and soul
To choose correctly
For oneself, for others
There’s the rub
Choose in harmony
With the highest and best good
For oneself, for the universe
A way to find peace and harmony
Choose for the greater good for myself and others
But, Choose.
Sweet Irene has given me something which I can only call the Mwah Award. It is a great big red kiss and its function is described as follows:
‘It’s a big kiss, of the chaste, platonic kind, from me to you with the underlying ‘thanks’ message implied. I really do appreciate your support and your friendship, and yes, your comments.’
Thank you, Irene … you KNOW I appreciate EVERY comment I get! I also love awards!! So many people I should pass this along to … that will have to wait until another day. Thank you, Irene!

Diane, this bubblescape is wonderful. And I love the bubble you chose. To me it represents you and the universe. But better than the bubblescape, the poem really appeals to my heart.
Diane, I love your beautiful Choose bubblescape!
I also forgot to mention in my last comment, that I had a lot of fun looking at etsy shops after your post the other day! Thank you!
Have a great week!

Hi Diane
Another lovely work! and a thought provoking poem! namaste Elis.
Sing, “Make Someone Happy.”
I love your big bubble surrounded by all those little bubble. I guess he is the Chosen Bubble. The King of Bubbles. I wonder if he was elected democratically?
Diane, this is a brilliant idea!!!!!
Very nice poem! I like the fact that you did the bubbles on 2 sides with a big one in between. It reminds me of a cross roads, that point in life where you have to make a choice for better or worse. Nice one Diane!
Lovely translucence. Calm and cool almost therapeutic…. and words to match, very transcendental in mood.
On a completely other subject – I was thinking about your artworks yesterday and how they have altered over the months… and wondering if we are going to see some more of your wild paintings – have you stopped doing those? Have you moved away from that?
I remember some of them so clearly from my first visits to yourblog – strong colours and powerful images. I would be interested to hear you take on how your art has moved on and whether you are expressing different things nowadays – of course, only if you want to share your thoughts.
OOps, keep forgetting… On the subject of awards, Diane, there is one for you over on my blog.
