On the personal front, you probably don’t know my back, neck and right arm (and I am a rightie) have been in incredible pain often for months now. Susan has been great about massage, but the pain has been entrenched. It seems related to the shingles I had last year … the pain come back to haunt me! My doctor and I decided that I would try going to a gentle chiropractor (I have been before). He likes to work every day if possible .. that, obviously, takes a lot of time … partly why I am behind on commenting.
The other thing – that is great! – is that I am working on a design for hire for someone that saw and loved my work on my site. This sort of design work (for using on textiles, paper merchandise and such) is something I have wanted to pursue. So I am working on a relatively short deadline to see if what I come up with is wanted. I haven’t done much of the design work for a couple of years .. so it is fun getting back in the groove. I think I have now found my groove … whew!! I always worry. Clearly, I have to put that kind of potential business at the top of the list. But I will get back to you, and in the meantime, thanks for sticking with me!

How timely, Gale is my featured artist this week!
Congrats on the design work, it’s always good to have money coming in to support your habits (like eating and living under a roof!).
I went to Gale’s website and was very impressed!
It must be very hard to be in pain all the time and I wish you a lot of luck with this and a speedy recovery.
Hi Diane,
I loved Gale’s site, thanks for writing about her. And I signed up with rss Hugger too, and I appreciate you for sharing the information.
I really hope you feel better soon. I had shingles on the move out to LA and I know how painful it is! It’s an immune system disorder, which you probably already know. What has helped me greatly is nutrition therapy, as well as energy healing. I wish you a very speedy recovery.
Congratulations on the design for hire, I hope it’s successful for you! By the way, I like your simple pieces, and I love how you use blues and purples.
I’m sorry to hear you’re in pain.
I know how much that sucks :(!
Hope you feel better soon!!
Ask your Dr. about a so called “Dorn Therapy” – maybe it can help you.
It did greatly omprove my back over time and I would love to give it a go again, but no luck over here 🙁

This bubblecsape has a lovely sky. You do well doing all the things you do while in such pain. Here’s hoping it can be alleviated in some way.
Diane, Thank you very much for mentioning me in your post with the link. That’s very nice of you and show me you have a giving heart. I didn’t know you were in so much pain and hope whatever treatment you use helps. Thanks again for everything, I appreciate you, Gale.
Diane, I really wish you a speedy recovery.
Congratulations on the design work, that’s fantastic news! xx
