Two Things Challenge – Hold/Value
First I would like you all to know about Staci Rose’s interesting blog (http://stacirose.blogspot.com). She makes beautiful and creative jewelry and had some very interesting posts. She mentions me in the last week and it is a fascinating post about her. Staci was kind enough to give me a Nice Matters Award! Thank you, Staci! I appreciate this award very much!!
Nice Matters Award
After much thought and work, I have decided on my entry to the 2 Things Challenge with a focus on Hold & Value or Holders of Real Value. This one stumped me for a long time. Partly because I feel most of my artwork IS already about what I value. I want to be enhancing your spirit and raising your energy and vibration with my work. I want to help you align with the highest part of your being. That is what I value the most. So then I thought back to last week’s challenge and decided to go that route. By the way, each entry this week earns $10 toward charity. You have until Wed to enter, so please consider entering!

Rima, I hope the words work for you … I used bold and I think bigger to make them more visible. I hope that works! And I hope the words don’t obscure the rest of the image itself too much! I just have to show you the painting without words … I love it! I am not sure Pink Delight is the best name, but I feel so joyful looking at it!

And I have a question for you … you seem to be liking my talking about marketing. I have lots more stories I can tell you. Should I talk about marketing perhaps 2 – 4 times a week? I don’t want to bore you, yet I do have lots more things you might enjoy. But maybe as spices instead of the main meal? I would very much appreciate feedback! Thank you!
When Susan got back from work at 7:30 am, she said there were about 8 inches already. It is noon and it is still snowing, sometimes going into sleet for a few minutes (by the sound against the windows) but still mainly snowing quite heavilythe advisory has been extended from 3 this afternoon until 7 tonight. We shall see. You’d think it was winter in the northern hemisphere. And I want to acknowledege this is nothing compared to what so many people around the world have been and are going through!!!

You seem to have got all the words there that hold the most value for people. I like the elegant lettering which gives them suitable gravitas. Great that they are given their due with such a beautiful background.
I would love to hear more about marketing. That seems to be the biggest hurdle to doing what we love. Everything is contingent on what sells and sometimes I think that takes the creativity and the ability to take a leap away.
It seems we have the same thoughts (Bev too) about what is important. The qualities of who we are, the things we are passonate about, and of course health and family. I love your bubbles and these pink frosty ones are no exception.
Sure, tell us marketing stories, I am sure that there is lots we can learn. I will probably enter that realm myself one day. I hope you don’t get snowed in and if you do, that you have enough groceries to last you. Very beautiful image of bubbles and all the right words.
I enjoyed reading every word that held value for you. And I nodded my head in perfect agreement.
I also agree that I would like to hear more about marketing. PLEASE! I keep thinking it is something I might go back to (daughter and I sold aprons for a short while) and would like to pick up any valuable tidbits you care to share.
Hi Diane,
I’m always so moved by your vivacious flair!
Best,
Ruthie
Well done Diane! I like your addition of the words to your work.Your bubbles are in such contrast to the snow!
I enjoy your posts because I can tell they are from an educated perspective so post away and we shall read!
Lisa 🙂
Hi Diane,
I love the original painting too, it’s just beautiful. With the addition of the words, it is a lovely piece for the Hold/Value challenge.
I find your colors and light so gorgeous. It’s kind of a winter light too. Even though I well remember how challenging it was to live in real winter, there was a certain light reflected off the snow and a silence added by the snow that I miss. It’s a cozy feeling to be inside on a day like this. I hope you get to stay in and be warm!
Diane,
I LOVE this! When I look at it, it makes me feel joyful too!
I agree with Kris, I adore the original painting, but the words make it great for the challenge. The colours are fantastic.
I would love to hear more of your marketing stories, I think it would be very interesting.
Nicola
