Illustrator Friday – Scale
This weeks Illustrator Friday has a topic of Scale. I decided to do a little double or triple duty with the word scale. These bubbles are scaling the mountain. The size of the bubbles going up the mountain are in scale. And the texture of the mountain is scale. I loved looking at other people’s images this week because they have so many variations of the meaning of scale.

Out of the primal ocean
The bubbles climb and roll
Up the mountain
In their ranks
Rolling over the rough
Hide of the slopes
Reaching the pinnacle

Too many meanings, my head might explode! 🙂
Love this one best! It reminds me of some future-world where all is at peace.
I like your clever play on the word scale. I like the way the bubbles are in scale and dominate that mountain. They must be tough bubbles indeed not to be pricked and burst by that mountain! I like the way these ethereal and insubstantial things defeat the solid rock, the way the poetic beats the prosaic!
I like this one a lot, it looks very magical!
and hey! your signature looks great!
Yes! Yes! Diane! You are on a roll. I love the airy feel of the paintings and the pastel dreamy palettes you are using. Keep going!!
“primal water” those are some great words to go with this image
