  1. What a beautiful and lovely image to promote peace. And yes, war is so damaging to every living thing. One battle can offset centuries of careful conservation. As Ghandi said, “you must be the change you wish to see in the world.” and so we must.

  2. A very peaceful image with a very peaceful message. I am sure that is Gaya’s message also, as we wound her every time a bomb goes off. Beside wounding and killing people and animals. I have never been more aware of the impact of my presence on this earth and I will try to keep it as small as possible.

  3. Hi Bobbie, thank you so much – I am delighted that you think it is beautiful!! I was a little nervous putting it out .. because I just finished it and hadn’t really absorbed it all the way yet. Truer words were never spoken about conservation, war and being change! Thank you!

Hi Irene, thank you! All we can each do, is keep being aware and educating ourselves, paying attention and taking steps. Loving and accepting ourselves is part of loving that earth … we are all part of her too. And we still need to keep making our foot print smaller … it is all a delightful balancing act!

Hi Frances, thank you so much!

  4. I absolutely love this piece and the peace message with it. As someone who has witnessed the horros of war first hand, I applaud you in raising our global consciousness and maybe — just maybe — we can change this world for the better. Way to go, Diane!!!!!!!! I would love to see more of this free spirit thinking and moving art work. I think you have a lot to say and you can show all this by expanding into a little bit more representational directions..Anyway, whatever you do, know that I support you always!

  5. Hi Neda, I am thrilled you love this image!! Just thrilled! I wanted to create something very special for your and Rima’s gallery!! I am always moved when I think of you in the war – very moved!! I think we have no choice except to work to change things … what else is there to do? The digital work I have been doing is easier in many ways … but I do feel I need to move back in the other direction whether from digital, paint or collage. It has been great playing with the digital I have been doing the last several months, but I think it is important to go back to where I think the work is more powerful! And thank you for your support!!

  6. Brilliant work of art and a briliant message.

I think the only way that the world is going to make a turn for the better is if artists start to run the place instead of generals and politicians who appluad when a scientists builds a more powerful and lethal bomb.
