The Blog Not Taken
With a tip of the hat to Robert Frost, I wanted to share with you “The Blog Not Taken” – in case you didn’t visit when it was up and running. So I have a simpler interface, one I am happy enough with, and I hope you like it too. I tried to get the titles more vertically centered in the sidebars, but nothing worked that I tried .. so I made the bars narrower. So good – this piece is done – and thank you for all your help and patience.

I do like the “About Me” on the top of the left bar on this “blog not taken,” but I spent (wasted?) a couple of hours trying to figure out how to do it. I couldn’t find simple code for it. That may be a future upgrade. But a simple one. I would like to get the last line higher up in the header, but I think that is not going to happen. So, let’s enjoy this evening and I hope everyone had a great weekend! Thank you,

What a way to start a brand new and exciting week! Looking at the New Look! Bright, colorful and balanced. Exuding confidence and vitality. At the edge of brashness. My man, I am giddy with raw energy. I want to dance. Let me shout!
Well done Sista D.
PS: Is Sista S. spreading happiness on her path filled with wild flowers? Is this why we are NOT hearing from her? Let this new morning be nothing but glorious! Praise the Lord! Praise our good government who is looking over our wealfare. I was made in the USA. Still am. No more valley of the shadows. Today the light has taken over our lives and we feel sanctified. Good and clean design will do that to one. Be happy!
Give me another pot of coffee and I’m sure I can be as exuberant as Soul Fish!
You can add the About Me section anywhere in the sidebar by going to that page in the theme editor and adding it. Find your ‘Links to Diane’ section, it should be within the list item tags (). Add another set of list item tags above it and just emulate what the code has for the title and the content. Or… copy and paste the entire code for that page and send it to me and I’ll send you back the updated code!
Well, thank you, Soul Fish for your very encouraging words! I hope you are dancing! I don’t know that Sista S. is on her path filled with wild flowers … I encourage you to check in on her! So glad my “good and clean” design has made your week!
Hi Chris, thank you for your offer … my problem is that I don’t know the code to put in to the sidebar. I have tweaked this poor sidebar to within an inch of its life … so that part I am comfortable with. Thank you for your offer to edit – if I needed it, I would gladly take you up on it.
Now, by any wild chance do you know the code? I looked at a widget for it, but couldn’t figure out how to translate the code. And the other theme that had the “About Me” had a very complex addition in the functions.php and I couldn’t figure out how to translate that either.
At one point could swear I saw someone write in reference to a plugin for “about me,” but I spent a couple of hours and couldn’t find it … so I don’t know where to go from here on it.
Thank you!! for your offer of help!

Hi Diane,
So, now what?
*grin*

Hi Sue,
I need to get back to designing my business card for the art business. With the last round of suggestions .. I need to lay them out and see what works best. Susan can just use the layout for the graphic design business – she just needs to do it.
How is it going on pricing?
