Emma in Flowers II
Emma looks so precious to me as she is stepping forward with her little paw. This digital painting is fabulously cute in my opinion. Tonight I feel that Emma is going through a forest of flowers.

Today I spent the day at a workshop that was promoting an internet marketing package that was incredibly powerful and interesting, but I did not feel it was right for my needs. But I did learn a lot about search engines and different techniques.
With their package they offer a great database for keeping track of potential customers and making it easy to send out newsletters. Educating myself about newsletter software is on my list of things to do. I have a database of products and clients, but it is not connected up to the web. I will need to decide if the one program can do the job or … what.
It is also time for me to get serious about getting a shopping cart and at least being able to take paypal for credit cards for the convenience of customers. Time for these next business steps!

Hi Diane,
The workshop sounds like it stimulated some good thought on your next steps. The Blog Squad (www.blogsquad.biz) recommends KickStartCart (www.kickstartcart.com). I think I have information on another shopping cart program that I will email to you. PayPal is a great move and pretty painless, though it does have some quirks that I am still sorting out. For the most part, though, it makes transactions between me and the customer pretty seamless. I highly recommend it.

Hi Sue and everyone else,
Thank you, Sue, for suggesting KickStartCart. I knew they suggested something – so you saved me a step. I want to check a little more first before committing to a shopping cart. I am excited because I hope to set up my Etsy store this weekend. I have been poking around there this afternoon to work out shipping. Perhaps, though, I will have to be set up as a PayPal vendor before I can finalize there.
But I plan on working on them and ArtFlock this weekend. I figure if I can take some steps to get my artwork available elsewhere, it buys me a little time to figure out my site and selling. It needs a major overhaul, but the how is not clear to me yet.
