Hi Diane,
I actually find this image kind of disturbing. I wouldn’t take it personally; it’s just how my mind is translating the info…big dark eyes staring at me, otherworldly, but Im not sure it’s necessarily friendly. The colors aren’t quite bright enough for me to interpret them as playful…but it could be my monitor too.
Well, you did ask!

First, I want to reiterate that I like this blog format a lot better than what you had. It’s crisp, well organized and pleasant looking.
When I saw your image at first, I was reminded of the organic cubist creations (I forgot the artist’s name…but will email you when I remember). I like the little details and the way my eyes went was from the lower right corner up to the right then left… When I read Sue’s comment, I went back, and I saw a totally different picture: I saw the beak of a bird with a humongous brown eye…I quickly shut my eyes and opened them again to see what I first saw…I did not want to add any meaning to it because it was like decoding a Rosarch ink blot….
